Hey you! Yes, you! You’re AWESOME. People calling you weird? Being weird is being different. Being different is being AWESOME. We can be awesome in many ways. All of us are awesome. Don’t put yourself down if somebody calls you, “weirdo” or “weird”. I like being called weird. No joke.

I believe that we all have INNER AWESOMENESS. >:) We think we don’t, but we actually do! Remember Pow? From Kung Fu Panda? He never really knew that there was a dragon warrior in him. He never knew that he could be a hero. But, he believed in what he can do. He didn’t underestimate himself. Cool, right? Try being different. Like, if you’re a video game addict, try reading books! You might get more awesome than before. I want you, to be MORE AWESOME TOO!

Swog + Response.

(Yes, I DID mean to type “swog” instead of “swag” in the title.)

Now, I’m sure if you’re subscribed to this blog (if you’re not, you should be) you have already read John (MyNameIsJuan)’s post about a word we all get tired of hearing. Swag.

His post did have a good point. Swag is definitely an over used word. It’s all swag, swag, swag, swag, swag. Instead of saying something is cool or dope, they say “Yeah, I like that swag.” And no one knows how to talk anymore.

The #2 meaning he stated however, I don’t really agree with. As epic and cool as us asians are, saying “Swag = Something We Asains Got” is just… no. Not right. Besides, you can use the “a” for anything. Something We Americans Got. Something We Africans Got. Something We ALL Got. And it’s like, at first, I thought it was cute. But then I saw it spread around the internet like some kind of virus, and it’s the top comment on all YouTube videos with an asian in it. C’mon guys… really?

Here’s a video that explains what I mean. I just hope you don’t mind the word douche. It’s a video by Nigahiga though, gets my point across, while making you laugh a couple times along the way. I was originally going to show you two videos to make my point absolutely crystal clear, but it had waaaaay too many horrible words for me to try and edit, delete or bleep out. Anyway, enjoy.

 

I do love John’s third point though. That kind of swag is definitely something we should all be proud of. We should all be someone who adores God.<3

Have swag, not swog. Just you know, don’t announce that you have swag. You’ll be giving yourself swog. :<

On an unrelated note, I’ll be posting new pokeboxes in about 4 – 5 hours, since I can’t make another post until then. XD

Why You Should Exercise Your Brain

This is probably my first post about… Well, stuff like these, so, forgive me for any mistakes, please?

Did you know that you could be losing one hundred brain cells everyday? All those unused parts are just being switched off, never to be used again.

It’s probably why people about 60 (some young people, too, like myself) years and older are forgetful sometimes.

If you exercise your brain, you could keep many of those brain cells. Try learning something new, it might help.

Solving simple math problems is great, too! By doing puzzles, you’re exercising your brain!

It’s not too boring, too. At least you can concentrate on something. In the end, at least you’ll have learnt a lot of new stuff and you’ve kept many of those other knowledge.

But won’t learning new stuff make you forget those older stuff?

If you don’t practice – yes. Always make sure to practice any skill you have so that it may improve.

ohemgee pokeboxes!

Okay, so I know what you’re thinking. What in the world is a “pokebox?”
Simple. It’s a pokemon in box form. Are you still confused? Well here comes a better explanation.

Well, earlier today, I was talking to Bene, Ally, Ysa and Jewelle (The owner and other awesome authors of this blog), and we were talking about a certain video game that I’m SURE everyone has been completely obsessed with it at one point. Pokemon.

So for a moment I kinda spaced out and randomly looked at my floor. (Even I don’t know why XD) And a random idea popped into my head. I’ve been thinking of drawing/chibi/or just plain doodle ideas for the LONGEST time, so I was desperate to try anything.

After a really, really, really, really, really, really, really, REALLY long time of tablet-ing and photoshop-ing, THE AMAZING EPICNESS OF A POKEBOX WAS BORN.

The first ever pokebox was a pikabox (pikachu).

This is probably the greatest thing I’ve ever done. Seeing the epic success of the pikabox, the next pokemon I gave the privilege of becoming a box was… mudkip.

So yeah. I feel awesome.

Coming soon: bulbabox, charmabox/cyndabox, jigglybox, and super mario boxes.
(10 points to the person who can correctly guess the non-box names for the characters above.)

You can always suggest a character if you want. I might give it a go^^ If I succeed, it shall be posted for everyone to see. x]

Yes, I know drawing boxes with faces and features doesn’t take any art skill (LOL, sounds like I’m talking about Sims Social XD) at all, but I wasn’t born with epic drawing powers like Jewie and Bene. o-o SO THIS IS THE BEST I CAN DO.</3

It’s like. Really late. Ima go pass out on my comfy bed now. I hope you like my boxes. When I get my own notebook on this blog I’m actually seriously considering naming it “Jess’ Box.”

Adventure Time

Ok, I’m not the kind of person to obsess over a TV show (well, maybe other than The Walking Dead, American Idol, and The Voice – ok, fine, I like a lot of TV shows, but I rarely watch TV… XD), but I think you might like Adventure Time, since it’s really funny.

I admit, the animations are plain and there may be an occasional “stup**d” or a word that could send some running, but it’s really cool… I think.

So, anyway, the show features two characters, Finn and Jake. Finn is a human boy (probably the only human I’ve seen in the show) who wants to be a hero and Jake is Finn’s best friend and a magical dog. Jake has some powers that allow him to stretch while Finn is an ordinary boy.

There may be some weird episodes, but why don’t you try watching. You’ll be able to see it in Cartoon Network every weekend at… I don’t know what time, exactly. Maybe before lunch at 12 PM.

Isn’t t tiring? It’s really annoying. People nowadays, always talk about SWAG. Like, “Eat my SWAG.” “My SWAG is awesome.” “You dig my SWAG” “My SWAG is bigger than yours.” etc. Everybody talks about SWAG. Yadda yadda yadda. Every time I hear my friends talk about SWAG, I move away. Why? They don’t even know the REAL meaning of SWAG.

I love this. Swag isn’t just something you possess. Swag is something that some of us are. This is the kind of Swag that we should be proud of. God loves us. In God’s eyes, we are cool and awesome. That’s why we shouldn’t be depressed if someone tells us that we’re not cool or awesome and stuff. God is awesome and so are we.

God is awesome and so are we. Be different, but in a good way. Be what you can be. Trust in yourself. Have faith in God. And always pray to God. I am proud to be God’s son. I am S.W.A.G.

Danbo! :3

So there’s this cute little box character, that has basically taken the social networking photo world by storm.

This is Danboard, or Danbo for short. She’s (Yes, a girl, I was hoping it was a boy too T^T) a cute cardboard robot that photographers love to have a photo subject. I don’t really blame them either, if I was a photographer (and I plan to be if I get a decent camera some day) I would totally buy myself one of these and take pictures of her in random places.

*sigh* Keep dreaming Jessica.

Tbh, this is actually what I was planning to save up for so I can (hopefully) get one before my birthday. Not counting on it though, it’s too expensive. BLAH. .{Getting off topic again…

Anyway, back to Danbo. So this cute movable figurine is based off of an anime called Yotsuba&!. She’s actually a girl named Miura Hayasaka (I think, I got this off of Wikipedia XD) in a robot box costume thing. There’s not much I can say, this is one anime I’ve never watched or even heard before until now.

You have to admit, it’s so cute. T^T For the record tho, if by some miracle I do get one of these, it’s totally gonna be a guy. It just seems better that way.
I gotta stop wanting things I can’t have.

Faces/Expressions

We can’t deny that the day of the week that we hate the most is……………MONDAY.

We always wonder why Monday is far from Friday, but Friday is close to Monday, right? And I know that everytime we wake up early for school during Mondays, we have this kind of face.

We always say, “WHAT?! MONDAY ALREADY? I THOUGHT IT WAS SUNDAY?! IT’S TOO EARLY FOR MONDAY. WAAAAAAAAAAH!” C’mmon. This is one thing we can’t deny. I, myself hate Monday. Boring subjects. Early wake up calls. Assembly time. Right? Well, moving on. Another thing we hate are…………….BRAGGARTS. It’s like, you tell one of your friends that you want/like this gadget/item. The next week, they tell/show us the gadget/item you like. Telling us, “Look what I got! Cool, huh? Ha. I bet you don’t have this yet! Do you?” It sucks right, makes us wanna say, “Back off, braggart.” Moving on, another thing we hate are Philosophers. When I say philosophers, these are the people that like to insult us with our questions like, you see them with a Baconator, then you ask the person, “OMG. Is that a Baconator?” While they say, “Noo. It’s Ice Cream. HAHAHAHA. Well, duh? Isn’t it obvious? Psh.” And the thing we want to say is, “Would it kill you to say ‘Yes’ instead?” But, we give them this face, and we answer…………..

 

Funny, right? Anyways, when we’ve finished the school day/week. We all have this action/face. I usually scream. Like, “THE SACRIFICE HAS BEEN OFFERED!”

“Yes! IT’S FINALLY DONE! I SURVIVED! ALL THE HARD WORK! T.G.I.F. GOODBYE TEACHERS, HELLO FACEBOOK!” right? Haha. Well, this concludes my post. Thanks for reading! I hope you liked it!

Hey guys! :) I told you guys that I’ll start being active again.

Teehee. :> So here’s my second post of the week! haha. Wait a minute. *takes cold medicine*

Well, this week, I’ve been feeling kind of down. Sad? No way!! Im really happy. But I have been sick and I just wanted to share with you guys, some tips when you get sick. :) )

 

If you are a bookworm/writer – Read a good book.

-when you are sick, of course your parents won’t let you move around or play outside, so my SUPER GREAT AWESOMELY AWESOME alternatiiiiiiiiiiiiiive is to READ! yeah, read. If you aren’t really a wide reader, why not start being one today? Trust me, you WONT regret it. >:)<

 

If you are an artist/editor – Watch Photo editing tutorials online!

-actually, you dont really have to watch PHOTO EDITING tutorials, but any kind would do! You could watch a tutorial on how to sketch Garfield or how to fold paper roses! It’s a great way to spend your time! Plus, you actually learn something from all of it!

If you are a musician/singer – Listen to Music!

-ehem, not just ANY music, but i do recommend old songs. Yes! Put away those “Moves Like Jagger” and “Teach Me How To Dougie” beats, and bring out the “Better Together” and “Smile” records! So now, you enjoy new (but old) music, AND maybe you’ll like them!!

Life Goes On

Plans didn’t turn out well? Failed your exams? Lost your games? Felt like one of your bestfriends changed?

If your plans have failed, it only means one thing. You should do better or try harder next time. You don’t have to be upset about it. In fact, you should be happy. Because you have gained experience. What Mac Miller is telling us is past is past. If someone did something wrong, try your best to correct it. Improve it. Because, if you get mad, nothing will really happen. If you shout at somebody for doing something wrong, nothing will happen. Life goes on. So, let it be. Help the person to be better instead of being mean to him/her. You can both change for the better. You can make a difference. You can succeed. How? Just remember Peter Pan’s line, “All you need is FAITH, TRUST, AND PIXIE DUST.” But, you substitute “pixie dust” with “prayers”.
