The Avengers. :”>

Okay. Since nobody else made a review so far, I will. -__-” =)))

The Avengers. At first, to me, it sounded like a boy’s movie. Like transformers. Although, that had a girl… But that’s beside the point. 

Hmm. Anyway, I didn’t want to watch it, until I saw the trailer. Ever since his movie, Captain America stole the hearts of, well, America. XD kidding. Anyway, since he was there, and so was the Hulk…. I decided I wanted to watch it.

Well, I watched it and it was so awesome. :D Before I watched the movie, Bene told me that it was awesome and the other movies didn’t even have to be watched so you’d understand… Well, good for me, cause I didn’t watch them other movies. :D hahaha. Except for CA, maybe :>

Yeah, it was awesome. The effects looked so cool, the events were great, and I was just O_O. Yup. Awestruck. :D Cause it was awesome. :P I say that too much, dont I? :) )

hahaha. :> Some quotes to go with my lame review eh? :) To make up for it. :P

Iron Man: Lets do a head count. A couple of master assassins, a demigod, a super soldier… and you’ve managed to piss off every single one of them.

Iron Man: We have the Hulk!

Okaay. :> hahaha. Don’t forget to watch it~

My Awesome Cousin! :>

If Jamille has Jess to brag with as awesomest cousin ever, I have Joseph Galvez. >:)

Last week, I went to Dos Palmas with my entire family (both my mom and dad’s side) and I had the privilege to bond with MY ultimate, awesome, epic cousin. Who is he? Joseph Galvez. He’s an 20 year old chef-to-be who’s wrapping up his culinary course at Enderun.

Now, just before we went to Dos Palmas, my cousin had a super unfortunate accident: a car crash. Apparently some really, really, really, mean truck driver totalled his car. Here, take a look:

The crash gave him a fracture in his shoulder, leaving his left arm incapable of moving (though his elbow and hand can move a bit)

 

The wreck of the car, his mom on the phone, his tita with the kulot hair, and his girlfriend. XD

But despite his accident we had such a GREAT time in Dos Palmas!

Going theeeere.

Going back already! XD

So that sums up the entire trip from beginning and end (not to) XD :D To tell you the stuff in the middle, well, basically we ate. Gorged on bacon. Gorged on crepes. Gorged on beef mignon. Food, food, food. Apparently, everybody was so hungry, nobody bothered to picture any of it the four days we were there.

Now you’ll never believe what Kuya Joseph and me did, even if he had his accident. We swam (with one arm), he snorkeled to the underwater garden (i exchanged a good night’s sleep instead of going there), we biked around the entire island (he using one arm!), we ate (that’s pretty hard if he can only use his right arm), played foosball (i lost 6 games in a row to a handicapped player…. [ally knows how bad i am at foosball XD]), and even CANOED.

Sad to say, I have no pictures in between with Kuya Joseph because we did all our stuff while the people-with-cameras were asleep! XD (we don’t like sleeping, we prefer being ninjaaaas! XD)

Anyway, I guess that’s a wrap.

Hello. :3

Since its summer vacation, I have the liberty of sleeping over at my cousin’s house. Hahaha. See? I raid her ice cream stock. =))) Anywaay. It’s been two days since I posted, and I was feeling bored so, why not post here? :D haha.

hunger games :D

Yesterday, I watched with two fellow staff members the Hunger Games.

Ever since, I’ve been a megafan of this fantastic, heartpounding trilogy written by an equally brilliant writer, Suzanne Collins.

The movie, however, in my opinion, wasn’t that as awe-inspiring. Well, I guess it happens to every fan of every single amazing series when a movie based on a novel launches to the big screen. In general, I’d give it a 79.5% rating.

Compared to other movies-based-on-novels, this movie tops them. The director, Gary Ross was loyal enough to the book. Did you know, Narnia and The Voyage to the Dawn Treader was said to be only 3% accurate to the original tale?

Well, maybe Gary Ross made the lines too similar. I creepily was able to mouth along almost every word the actors were speaking out. And I just re-read Hunger Games once before watching the movie! XD Funny, huh?

I loved the amazing job of Jennifer Lawrence, who played Katniss Everdeen, the main character of the movie. The emotions, the realism, the personality Jennifer Lawrence added to Girl on Fire fit the boot snugly just like how I imagined Katniss to be.

To give you a not-so-spoiling plot:

In a war-torn future, North America has turned into a nation, called Panem. There, 12 districts encircle a dictatorship settled in the center of the country, called the Capitol. The ruler, President Snow, keeps order and peace by ordering one boy and one girl from each district to fight to the death in an annual competition called the Hunger Games.

Well, if you’ve read Battle Royale, you might think it’s quite similar, but in my opinion, this book has more morality than that Japanese comic.

Anyway, back to my sort-of-a-review-post:

The movie overall was really nice. The scenery was fun, the added stuff including Gale’s (her sort-of-love interest) face whenever Katniss and Peeta (her other love interest) would kiss is quite a comic relief, the entire thing is enjoyable.

Most of the environment was just how I imagined it. It was quite cool, seeing how it was envisioned in breathtaking graphics.

But what I didn’t like about the movie was basically, it lacks backstory. The novel is written in Katniss’s POV, but in the movie, not a narrator is seen (more of heard). So much crucial data about District 12, Katniss’s father, the Seam, heck, even Katniss’s name is lacking.

I didn’t really like as well how they animated the final attack of the Mutts (that was sort of a spoiler…) It kinda sucked somehow, but still instills suspense in your heart.

You need to read the first book to fairly understand and be slightly disappointed about the movie.

To wrap, the movie was really kinda cool. It could be better, but still. I’d give it a thumbs up. :D

Hey you! Yes, you! You’re AWESOME. People calling you weird? Being weird is being different. Being different is being AWESOME. We can be awesome in many ways. All of us are awesome. Don’t put yourself down if somebody calls you, “weirdo” or “weird”. I like being called weird. No joke.

I believe that we all have INNER AWESOMENESS. >:) We think we don’t, but we actually do! Remember Pow? From Kung Fu Panda? He never really knew that there was a dragon warrior in him. He never knew that he could be a hero. But, he believed in what he can do. He didn’t underestimate himself. Cool, right? Try being different. Like, if you’re a video game addict, try reading books! You might get more awesome than before. I want you, to be MORE AWESOME TOO!

Hey guys! Been a while.

Anyway, just to inform you, the story’s going good, it’s just that Thalia (some staff member) is stuck on a rhyme XD

Speaking of staff members, who are they anyway? Well you could simply go to the staff page, but it ain’t finished yet. So who are they? Well, they’re all kids to teens, all with writing and artistic talents. :) You might notice most of them are girls, but actually, it’s supposedly dominated with boys. I just can’t seem to contact the old boy members. lol. Anyway, while the story is being completed, you guys could check out my tumblr. Chapter 3: Aftermath

“We did it, Bozo!” Dzorjb rejoiced. His friend, however, was wide-eyed

“I think blowing up that meteor wasn’t the right thing to do” Bozo answered. Dzorjb looked at his companion with a discriminating face

“What are you saying, Bozo?” Dzorjb snorted “Can’t you see? We just blew up what would certainly kill us! And you said we wouldn’t make it!” He turned back to his controls, steadying his hand to the 3-dimensional image of a sphere that served as their steering wheel

“Dzorjb,” Bozo called “you should look at the window…”

Dzorjb stared at his driver’s screen. “Oh no…”

The explosion of the meteor was devastating. It destroyed the meteor 3 times the size of the Earth. But that was the good part

“The Aftershock…” Dzorjb answered. The whole ship started blinking red lights, all containing the same warning he was so oblivious to listen to: Approaching Aftershock! Leave area immediately!

“…Oh crud” Dzorjb added

Hey guys,

Well, you might be wondering, it’s almost been a week without a new post! Well, we’ve been quite busy actually. We’re working on an e-book/pdf file which you can download sometime later ooon and taking a break from non-stop drawing and writing…. anyway, while waiting, why don’t you take a peek at the archives.
