First off, moustaches are awesome. You people should all know that. I don’t exactly know who started this thing about randomly loving moustaches (that person is a crazy genius), but I think it has something to do with the guy on the pringles chip can.

Great. Now I’m hungry for pringles. Anyway, I wanted to spread around some really weird random trend of some sort (I don’t think this counts as a meme XD), and posting it on Facebook didn’t do much, so I shall stick it here on Bene’s blog for everyone to see. XD

So basically, all I wanted people to do is draw a moustache on their finger then hold it above their lip like this:

It’s not really seeming to catch on, and maybe it’s because I’m the only one obsessed over moustaches like this. *sigh*

I’m pretty sure the moustache-finger thingy idea isn’t mine, I’m thinking I randomly found it on google or something. But I just love it XDDD
Yes, yes, I know I’m weird. </3

I actually don’t really know where I’m going with this post, maybe I just wanted to awkwardly share my obsession with the world…. XD

Sooo. Uhm… hi. )

This is my first post in Bene’s blog, and to be honest, I have no idea what I’m doing. Someone correct me if I’m doing this wrong. XD Everything’s so pretty looking and complicated. Last time I used WordPress was when I had my own blog, and it wasn’t like this at all… I doubt this post is gonna be as awesome as all the other posts on this blog though. XD But anyway, I’m getting off topic, I’m gonna stop talking about unnecessary things now…

So earlier today I was attempting to draw chibi versions these three characters:

These three were the characters I was TRYING to draw.

I failed horribly, so I gave up and tried doing pixel versions instead. ) Here’s my result.

It doesn’t really look like them, but I tried my best XDD

The anime is kinda girly, but it’s hilarious and if you have spare time I recommend you watch it. It’s called “Shugo Chara”, or “My Guardian Characters” in english. There’s english subs, but every now and then there’s a word like (excuse me) stupid or idiot. So… watch at your own risk I guess. XD It should be fine as long as you don’t say bad words, okay? There’s lots of other words in the dictionary you can use. XD

I watch it on crunchyroll, but there’s lots of other websites you can look at if it doesn’t work for you. Google is your friend. XD I just personally like crunchyroll best due to it’s high quality.<3 Here’s the link: http://www.crunchyroll.com/shugo-chara

Trolls aside, what are memes? Let’s start with pronunciation. As far as I’m concerned, there are three. The first one, meh-mehs, seems to be more popular. The second one is meem. Then there are those who say it as mimi (Edit: this is the correct one). I pronounce it the second way. You must have heard of them. If not, you might have been frozen in an iceberg with a huge flying bison for a hundred years. Kidding. But I DO miss that series, not that second rate, trying hard, copycat movie. Memes have been in the internet since… the beginning of time(?) but recently has become more and more and more and more popular.

For some people, it is their only source of fun. Popular sites like 9GAG have been bustling with excitement, brandishing idiotical and hilarious memes. 

Memes are quite entertaining, but sometimes, I have a feeling that the world is flooded too much of it. In my opinion (I hope you don’t get offended), it reaches to the point that it gets annoying! What will happen to the world when the only thing important is making and checking out new memes? What if SOPA was passed? What if both of them happened together?

-SCENARIO-

Guy One: Hey dude! That’s one cool meme on Tumblr!

Guy Two: Yeah! You know, contrary to popular belief, I was the one who drew the trollface! It was MY idea! I have the copyright you know! (his fingers are crossed behind his back)

Guy One: Um, Guy Two, I think you should–

Guy Two: BE QUIET! I OWN THE TROLL FACE! MWAHAHAHAHA–

Guy Two: Uhm…

Right. This has to be the weirdest post ever. Anyway, to cut to the chase, my point is:

Hey guys, it’s been a long time since I was able to write. My birthday passed XD so did the holidays. I’m tweeeelve! XD And one of the best birthday gifts I received: on the day before my birthday (January 20), it was announced that SOPA and it’s corresponding PIPA was pulled out. FREEEEEDOM! Wait. You might be wondering. What is SOPA? Is it any different from SOAP? Well, yes. SOPA means Stop Online Piracy Act. But ironically, bazillions of people have been asking to stop the Stop! I believe Dragonforce made a post why NOT to support this stupid act. Well, to give you a run down, this law destroys the entire idea of the internet gives the power to copyright holders to kill any sites which have illegal copyrighted content. What’s wrong with that, you may ask? Sounds pretty cool. Finally, piracy shall come to it’s foreseen end. NOPE. I’ll give you an example of how BeneSanchez.com will look if the act was passed and I lived in the U.S.

Let’s make it clearer, yes? Say I was a member of… tumblr. And I posted a copyrighted photo owned by some entertainment company. With a flick of a finger, they can send a message to the Judiciary, saying that I posted their picture. Now you know what they’ll do? They won’t ban you from the site. They’ll ban the entire site from everyone.

“That should solve piracy! Kill the mother! The origin!”

WRONG. That’s evil. Homicide. Destruction. Isn’t the point of the internet about FREEDOM?

Well, you might say I’m pro-piracy. I’m not. I personally don’t like the idea of being stolen from. But this, is NOT the answer.

Now you might ask, “Why does this have to concern me? What if I don’t live in the U.S.?” Well, chances are, the copyrighted picture you posted was from the States. BOOM. Site you posted on is gone. And anyway. Sooner or later, the U.S. would be able to convince other governments to do the same thing.

Now thankfully, after bazillions protested against SOPA, Rep. Lamar, the man who was responsible for this derisible idea decided to pull it out. But that doesn’t mean the war against piracy is over. SOPA can rise from the dead, in another form. What happened on January 20 is similar to stopping an unstoppable force. Piracy MUST be gone. So keep your heads up. You never know, your rights for a free, uncensored internet will be killed. Hope you learned a bit.

Wallpapers are interesting thing. Although they seem pointless, most computer users who use it for a considerable time get bored. So it’s pretty much a wise thing to do to change your background every now and then! I found this really cool site before, called pickywallpapers.com, but that site is relatively new, meaning to say, it doesn’t have much content.
